Regional Director Marks 40th Anniversary with Blue Cross

James Bustillo, Director of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana’s Shreveport Regional Office, recently marked his 40th anniversary as an employee of Blue Cross.

Bustillo joined Blue Cross in 1971 as a sales representative in the company’s Shreveport Regional Office.  After serving as District Manager then Regional Director for Shreveport Group Sales and Service, Bustillo was promoted to Vice President for the Western Division in 1995.  After a restructuring of the company’s regions and Marketing Division titles, he now holds the title of Regional Director–Western Division for Shreveport Group Sales and Service.

“James has incredible vision, loyalty and humor, and those qualities have made him someone people really look up to,” says President and CEO Mike Reitz.  “He has a very natural style of leadership that inspires other people to always be better than they were the day before.”

To commemorate his 40th anniversary, Bustillo was the guest of honor at a gathering of employees and long-time colleagues at the Shreveport Regional Office.  He was formally feted at Blue Cross’ annual Service Recognition Luncheon.  Finally, Blue Cross’ Board of Directors officially recognized Bustillo’s exemplary service through a proclamation recognizing his many accomplishments in the Shreveport/Bossier community.
