Section 125 Cafeteria Plans
A Section 125 Cafeteria Plan is sometimes referred to as a Flexible Spending Plan (FSA).
- Employees can set aside a certain amount of each paycheck into an account before paying income tax. Participant can use the account to pay for:
- Out-of-pocket expenses at the doctor or pharmacy
- Chiropractic services
- Eyeglasses, contacts, Lasik
- Orthodontics and more
- Employers save on payroll taxes and can help cushion health insurance increases to lessen the impact on the employee's paycheck.
