- Gather copies of your important healthcare documents and store them in a safe place
- Create a Personal Health Record for you and your family. This secure, password-protected online record is available 24/7, wherever you are. Best of all, your Personal Health Record is yours to keep, even if you change health insurance carrier
- Register for AccessBlue, our free online member service where you can create a Personal Health Record, view and print your claims-based health history, review claims status and update personal information. Register and login from the AccessBlue box found on the upper right of every BCBSLA.com webpage
- Keep several days’ worth of your prescription medications on hand
- Write down group insurance contact information
- Complete an authorized delegate form for all covered family members age 18 or older
- Complete the Be Safe. Be Prepared. card and carry it in your wallet or file it with important health documents

After the Storm
- Remember to return to this webpage for the latest information, or call the Customer Service number on the back of your ID card.
- Share your temporary address with Blue Cross if you will be away from home for an extended time. You can change your address using AccessBlue.
