Website Update
The RxBLUE website is now fully updated with 2008 benefits information and documents. This information is valid from Jan. 1, 2008 through Dec. 31, 2008. 

Members of RxBLUE receive:

• Low copayments—including $0 for some generics
• A formulary that includes ALL Medicare Part D-approved drugs
• A network of more than 1,000 pharmacies
• Local, dependable customer service from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana

Who can join RxBLUE?
Anyone who lives in Louisiana and is entitled to Medicare Part A and/or enrolled in Medicare Part B can join RxBLUE. Certain enrollment restrictions apply.

The Annual Election Period for 2008 enrolment is now closed. However, those who qualify for a Special Election Period or those who are turning 65 may still enroll.

Why join RxBLUE?
You will get Medicare prescription drug coverage from a name you know and trust with RxBLUE. The RxBLUE premium has been reduced for the second year in a row making it even more affordable.

Important Information

Need reimbursement for a Part D vaccine?
If your doctor or pharmacy administered a vaccine for which you need reimbursement, fill out the RxBLUE Claim Form. Make sure to list the drug cost and administration fee separately. View detailed instructions

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana has contracted with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to offer RxBLUE, a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan.
