Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana’s 2006 Annual Report has won a Bronze Award in a nationwide contest sponsored by Neenah Paper, which holds a contest annually for communications pieces that use any of its Paperworks series of fine papers.
“We at Neenah Paper congratulate you on the quality exhibited in your Bronze place winner,” wrote Jamie Saunders, a representative of Neenah Paper’s Fine Paper Marketing department.
John Maginnis, Blue Cross’ vice president of Corporate Communications, said he was proud of the award-winning in-house project. “I congratulate everyone in this department who worked on the annual report,” he said.
The report, entitled “Leadership: Challenge and Opportunity Intertwined,” was written by Robin Mayhall and designed by Genevieve Procell. Printed on Neenah’s Classic Linen paper, the piece follows in a tradition of award-winning Blue Cross annual reports. The 2005 report recently received a Lantern Award, the highest honor in a Southern Public Relations Federation competition open to entries from Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. The 2004 edition received Silver Awards at the local, district and national levels in the ADDY Awards program sponsored by the Advertising Federation of America.
