In a rural parish with very limited financial assistance, Una Paul was the “person behind the scenes” whose determination and untiring efforts returned the joy of books to the students of Harrisonburg Elementary School. A lack of funding had forced the closure of the school’s library, with the collection in disarray for many years. Paul, a retired teacher/librarian, took it upon herself to reorganize and reopen the library, volunteering her time and coordinating the effort.
