Wright has been serving the children of Tallulah and Madison parishes for more than 20 years. She is founder and director of the non-profit PUSH for the Children.

Dr. Poliquit turned down offers from across the country and moved to Tallulah where he practices pediatrics among some of the poorest families in the United States. He makes touring Broadway shows available to children and others in the area through the "Impresario's Choice" and "Silent Seats" programs.
