Employee Volunteers

Team Blue is our league of employee volunteers who donate their time and talents to various nonprofit and community outreach projects statewide. We welcome and invite opportunities to support nonprofit organizations who share our goal. 

Qualified Efforts
Team Blue activities can only be performed for the benefit of not-for-profit organizations (with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status) involved in:

• Health
• Education and youth development
• Human services
• Cultural competency
• Arts, culture and entertainment
• Community and economic development
• Other similar activities

Non-Qualifying Efforts
Blue Cross will not approve Team Blue activities with:

• Political or religious organizations (unless the volunteer activity is for a nonsectarian purpose, such as a senior citizen center or a homeless shelter)
• Social or business-only organizations
• Organizations that might create serious conflicts of interest to Blue Cross or its industry interests
