BlueSaver® is a high-deductible health plan that gives you the power to manage your health care. With BlueSaver coverage and a health savings account (HSA) established in a financial institution, your catastrophic needs are covered while you build a financial cushion for your medical and non-medical needs.
What's an HSA? It's a personal tax-free savings account used to cover medical expenses. After enrolling in a high-deductible plan like BlueSaver, in 2009 you may annually deposit into your HSA on a tax-free basis up to $3,000 for an individual policy and $5,900 for a family policy. Funds in the HSA account that are not used for medical expenses can accumulate tax-free from year to year until retirement. Learn more about HSAs.
