Philanthropic activities not only help us improve the quality of life in Louisiana, they also improve our company's relationship with our members – our friends and neighbors in local communities.
At Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, community relations activities are managed through a department called Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This department focuses contributions and community programs in ways that provide the greatest impact in the community while also supporting the company's goals.

As a local company, BCBSLA is the only health insurer in the state with a foundation focused exclusively on Louisiana. The Foundation strives to improve health and education in Louisiana by selectively awarding nearly $2 million in grants each year to about 200 nonprofit organizations across the state.
