Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Wins Second Straight Brand Excellence Award for Member Retention

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana has received a 2008 Brand Excellence Award for Member Retention from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) - the second consecutive year that BCBSLA has received the award, which is given to Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans that retain a high percentage of their members from the previous year.

"We are proud to receive this honor from our national association during our 75th anniversary year," said Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Interim President and CEO Mike Reitz. "More than 1 million Louisianians trust the Cross and Shield, and we're showing our commitment to them and their health with innovative and affordable products and services. Our high membership retention rates show that our customers recognize and appreciate our heritage of customer service, quality and value."
