Your health is important to us, and we are furthering our commitment to provide you with affordable access to quality healthcare through our new Quality Blue Primary Care (QBPC) program.
If you are a Blue Cross member and your doctor takes part in this program, you are part of it, too. You do not need to do anything special or pay anything extra.
General Practice, Family Practice and Internal Medicine doctors can be in Quality Blue Primary Care. If your doctor is one of these, look up your doctor’s name in our directory at www.bcbsla.com/FindCare. Quality Blue doctors have a blue Q next to their names. You can also ask your doctor if he or she is in Quality Blue.
Blue Cross makes your health claims information available securely to your doctor’s office so your doctor knows more about your healthcare history. For example, you might have filled a prescription or had a school or workplace health screening since your last visit. Your doctor can treat you better if he or she knows things like this.
We believe that when we communicate more with your doctor before you go in for an appointment, you will save time and get the most out of your office visits.
