Bridge Blue short-term medical point-of-service (POS) plans are a flexible, affordable and convenient way to bridge the gap in healthcare coverage. They provide you with medical and prescription drug benefits for up to 11 months.

Certain preventive and wellness care services are covered and some of those services will be paid at 100% when you go to a provider in your network. These covered services include annual exams, colonoscopies, mammograms and more. With all Bridge Blue plans, you must pick a primary care provider (PCP) in your network to handle most of your medical needs when sick or injured.

Explanation of Benefits

After each visit to a doctor or hospital, we will send you an Explanation of Benefits (EOB). It is a summary of the charges for the care or services you received. It shows what we cover and what the provider charged or what the service cost. It is not a bill. You may choose to go paperless and get your EOBs online by logging in at bcbsla.com/myaccount and choosing "Account Preferences."
